BIS Mid-Autumn Festival Garden Party

To celebrate the traditional Chinese festival for Mid-Autumn, BIS held a series of activities which were intended to help students learn more about Chinese traditional customs through the practical activities.

为了庆祝中国的传统节日——中秋节，BIS举办了一系列的活动，旨在帮助学生在实践活动中更多地了解中国的传统习俗，传承民族文化。

The Chinese department of BIS held a Mid-Autumn Festival Garden Party. There were 6 traditional Chinese games such as moon-cake making, ring throwing game, jutting, sandbag throwing, calligraphy, archery and riddles. It was really a most enjoyable day, all students and teachers had a wonderful time learning new skills and coming together to celebrate.

BIS中文组举办了中秋游园会，包括有6种中国传统游戏，如制作月饼，套环，投壶，扔沙包，书法，射箭和猜灯谜。这是一个非常愉快的一天，所有的学生和老师都有一个美好的时间学习新的技能，并聚在一起庆祝。

STEAM: Avatar Project

阿凡达项目如何激发创新思维？

Avatar is a design and construction project. Students designed a character, then focused on what shapes make up their design and redrew it from two points of view. Students then followed their blueprints and used recycled material to build a 3D model.

“阿凡达”是一个设计和建设项目。学生们设计了一个角色，然后专注于组成他们的设计的形状，并从两个角度重新绘制它。然后，学生们按照他们的蓝图，使用回收材料建造了一个3D模型。

The aim of this project was to develop design skills, improve construction techniques with limited time and recycled materials.
